Tuff Sherm delivers his extraordinary follow up to the Canal Cloaking tape from 2012. If Canal Cloaking conjured images of a desolate ship floating through space, this time the ship has landed on a tropical planet and the indigenous plants have grown through it's guts. Tribal wanderings, glowing gamelans and destroyed jazz workouts leave all memory of the grid way behind. Themes are set up then dissolve only to reappear as mutated versions of themselves deeper in the undergrowth. Endlessly evolving sinister vibes, thumb pianos covered in grit and ancient synths held together with mud and willpower.

This tape comes wrapped in a stunning Shaky Kane cover. Shaky's work has amazed me since I first saw it in Deadline waaaay. Over the course of a couple of pages whole universes of possibility could open up and it's a big honour to have his art on a Reckno release. I'd love to go back in time and give this tape to my younger self. Seek out Bulletproof Coffin Disinterred to have your mind truly melted.
